Musical expression of our worship and praise to God is vital to our spiritual well-being. There are several opportunities for your involvement beyond your musical praise as a member of the congregation during our worship services.
Our children’s choirs are an integral part of children’s Sunday School. During this 10:00 am time on Sunday morning, children learn in many different ways, including exciting new music for youngsters.
Our praise band in the 9:00 Worship service, Firstborn is comprised of vocalists, guitars, percussion and keyboard players. Firstborn rehearses Wednesday evenings. If you desire to worship the Lord in this manner, contact Cindy Person, our Firstborn director for more information. To see video of Firstborn, go to the Worship Video page.
During our 11:00 am Sunday Worship, the Sanctuary Choir leads praise with an anthem. Accompanied by piano or organ as well as various instruments, the choir explores many generes of music with a more traditional sound and lyric. The choir also concludes our worship with a choral benediction each week. The sanctuary choir is featured in a special Christmas season worship service as well as joyous Easter celebration. The sanctuary choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Contact Karl Ivers, choir director for more information about how you can participate. To see a video of our choir, go to the Worship Video page.
Our handbell choir, directed by Karl Ivers adds a special celebration to our worship, once per month as well as at special seasonal celebrations. If you are familiar with music notation and would like to participate as a handbell ringer, contact Karl for further information. The handbell choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm.
